Castle Lastours is located in the south of France, in the Massif des Corbières, a former communications route the Domitian road linking Narbonne to Spain. To accommodate the traveler, a castrum was built then. His name Castrum Turribus, became over time Lastours Castle, referring to the watchtowers overhanging Domitian in this particularly dangerous place. The Lastours castle extends over almost 800 hectares including 100 hectares of vineyards and 10 hectares of olive trees. Its exceptional terroir ains that the application of the most advanced techniques in the vineyard and in the winery, allow us to produced a range of wine with a beautiful expression. Our vineyard is cultivated according to the principles of sustainable agriculture, without fertilizers or chemical pesticides. Castle Lastours is owned by the Allard family since 2004, which has made energy and passion to develop and operate this exceptional terroir AOC Corbières. A goal of creating great wines and develop wine tourism in an out of the ordinary. The area benefits from the Mediterranean climate with hot summers, sunny and dry, with rainfall spread over three seasons; Tramontana from the north to regulate the excess temperature.
