In the center of the village of Saint-Saturnin-de-Lucian and the Saint Saturnin in the Languedoc Roussillon region in southern France is the Mas d'Estelle. Mainly planted on calcareous soils, the vineyard Mas d'Estelle covers 10 ha. The vines of Mas d'Estelle is adapted to the region, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah for red, Roussanne and Grenache white. The vines of Mas d'Estelle are guided by favoring severe pruning which limits performance and is an important step to develop a quality wine. Tillage practiced avoids the use of weed control products and promotes root development in depth. From the perspective of quality, the harvest of the Mas d'Estelle are made by hand with sorting out the plot. The vinification is traditional, with minimum interventions during fermentation. In 2011 the cellar of Mas d'Estelle has been equipped with modern equipment to maintain the quality of production during vinification and livestock.
