Domaine De Rocahlas

The Domain Rocahlas currently includes 18 hectares of vineyard and scrubland. Located 20 minutes north of Montpellier in the foothills of the Cevennes. It took 7 hectares planted by clearing each plot has potential always keeping in mind the problems of integrating the plant in the middle of its environment.
Operation everyday keeps the same spirit with solar power in total autonomy and drilling water was 145 m in the heart of the limestone plateau.
No big bare patches, keep the woods and scrubland that transmit their perfumes to the vines, protecting the most susceptible varieties in the wind keeping protective hedges and above all be very rational about treatments necessary for the proper development of the grapes.
The construction of the cellar of Domaine Rocahlas was conducted in 2005 on a hillside and buried about 2.5 meters to ensure proper temperatures inertia and facilitated the work of gravity juice.
The same respect for the land is a permanent transformation in wine racks. The wine is a natural way to ensure the expression of the soil combined with that of grapes and get an authentic wine of character and not standardized. At Domaine de Rocahlas breeding is done in vats or barrels from different coopers to ensure complexity and elegance.
Finally the special feature of this marl and very stony soil is the freshness so rare and difficult to obtain for most wines "southerners.
The next stage of Rocahlas Field will be the passage AOC Pic Saint Loup. With the change in the production area now based on a geological cut rather than geographical appellation of ensuring greater consistency of wines and better rendering of the soil.
