The Bonzoms Domain is located on the land most in southern France, which enjoys the greatest period of sunshine a year. The Bonzoms Domain is Tautavel village of back country was discovered the skull of the oldest prehistoric man in Europe.
Tautavel Museum annually hosts more than 150 000 visitors and researchers from around the world. It was enriched in 2000 of a new museum with the first inhabitants of Europe and a congress hall with 500 seats which hosts festivals, conferences and seminars. The Bonzoms Domaine enjoys a particularly rich land, mainly composed of clay and limestone, most of the vineyards are on the hillsides.
The Bonzoms Domain is medium in size (35 ha) and we are working to preserve the authenticity of our wines, with a mode of traditional culture methods environmentally friendly: our production is entirely hand-picked, we plow the land instead of weeding and we practice traditional winemaking methods.
The Bonzoms Estate is in organic farming since 2009.
We mainly grow four varieties: Carignan, Catalan traditional variety, Syrah, Grenache, and the famous muscat, which allows us to develop the Muscat de Rivesaltes and Muscat sec. We also recently planted on Le Domaine Bonzoms chardonnay, which allows us to develop dry white. We also grow Cabernet for special wines and Macabeo for the creation of fortified wines amber.
