PUJOL Jean Louis and his son Fabien come from a winemaking family for 5 generations.
From the time when, on the family estate, the vineyards were worked by a donkey and a horse. At the head of Castle Grézan for nearly thirty years, they work by craftsmen to the sustainability and continual improvement of the vineyard productions.
The vineyard of Château de Grézan dominated by shale basement is 20 kms north of Béziers in the Hérault department, out of the Cevennes foothills, the denier natural rampart before the Mediterranean.
Finesse, power and aging potential are the main characters of the wines of the AOC Faugères consists of shale only. The vineyards of Faugères look from the top of the peak of Coquillade, the Mediterranean. On slopes of moderate relief, in a natural area of Mediterranean pine, white heather, arbutus and oak, the wines from this noble land are in a naturally protected environment.
Castle Grézan combines technology and tradition, some selectionnées plots are harvested by hand for great vintages (Golden Shale, Chardonnay cuvée head, Legacy). The grapes harvested and used to the greatest vintages of Château de Grézan.
For the vintage "Shale Golden," the transportation of the grapes is done in small crates. A manual sorting is done on arrival followed by a full winemaking half hogshead.
White and rosé are produced with rigorous specifications, allowing us to best enhance the fruity character of each vintage. The winemaking Grézan Castle stainless tank under control temperatures and oxygen.
The wines are made with grapes from reasoned farming methods.
All our wines are packaged in our own bottling guarantee control and quality of our productions.
