Anne De Joyeuse

Based in Limoux since 1928, the Anne de Joyeuse cave unites 500 members winemakers on a singular terroir 2,500 hectares to oceanic influences, Mediterranean and Pyrenees, near the watershed line.
Special feature of this cooperative? It only produces still wines and in particular AOP Limoux Blanc (100% Chardonnay fermented and aged in barrel) and red (50% merlot assemblages associated with syrah, malbec, cabernet sauvignon); Country of Oc wines and excellent pinot noir. The Merry Anne winery grows and makes wine as a certified charter Protect Planet sustainable development.
For five years, it distributes its wine bottles in traditional circuit and has already won several awards and citations in reference guides (Bettane and Desseauve, Hachette).
In 1868, Dr. Guyot behind the first modern scientific approach to the French vineyard, gives us his conviction born of his study of the Limoux vineyard:
It is by its red wines that Limoux figure and should legitimately be among the wines to fine wines. It thus gives the red wines of Limoux their credentials. It was with this conviction that the Cave Anne de Joyeuse was created in 1929 for the vinification of red wines of Limoux and high Aude valley. The winegrowers, realizing over time the outstanding quality of their land, practice in 1972 the first plantings of grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. The Cave Anne de Joyeuse became the first and most important southern vineyard to commit to full in a terroir selection "in the plot."
It leads to the consecration of its white wines AOC Limoux Blanc in 1989 and its red wines AOC Limoux Rouge in 2004.
