Château Cesseras

Family owned since 1840, it is currently the 7th and 8th generations who exploit and develop the Château Cesseras which has 65 hectares of vineyards which 15 ha Cru La Livinière. After studying notary Pierre André OURNAC joined the estate in 1985, which was already operated by his brother Jean-Yves since 1976. But after his death in 2007, his son William hired for 4 years now alongside Peter Andre to continue family adventure. In 1985 they decided to leave the co-operation to recover the family winery and embark on the development and marketing of their wines. Since the operation was fully réencépagée, the basement was equipped with modern equipment and a second winery was built to meet the need for development of the structure. Marketing bottled accounts for almost a third of production, turned almost exclusively on export markets. The family tries to work to the best Cru La Livinière which regularly wins awards or medals. They also put all their efforts to make wines of Pays d'Oc mainly varieties. A special feature of the operation is the important production of white wines because it represents one third of the statement varietal wines, high percentage of our région.Ils are also trying to innovate in terms of grape varieties: Marselan, Petit Verdot and implementation of San Giovese in 2007.
