Castle Massamier The Mignarde is a vineyard of 70 hectares at the foot of the Black Mountain, in the heart of the old Viscount of Minerva, that is to say, the historical Minervois, and in raw Minervois La Livinière.

In Roman times, a legionnaire named Maximus moved to the location of the field to which he gave the name of Maximiana, became Massamier today. His story is essentially linked to the Minervois since the first written mentions that the Pagus Menerbensis (Minervois) date 836 and reports a dispute about territory delimitations of Maximiana.
