Clos Bagatelle

Its Latin roots, Bagatelle has two meanings. Both she describes a "small property" and a lighter with this behavior "a trick done by one batteleur". Who better than Clos Bagatelle expresses this duality, a Cartesian rigor mixed with a exhilaration.
It is in the Renaissance that name crossed the border to baptize the Clos Saint Chinian and a famous castle and park in Paris.
Back to Saint-Chinian in 1623, in the south of France where Pierre Mercadier cleared this land of Clos Bagatelle, extracts the slate and its 1st plant vines. It's been eight centuries the village of Saint-Chinian cultivating vines.
From the 20th century, the field is transmitted and pampered mother to daughter. In 1963 it is the mother of Luke and Christine who runs the Clos Bagatelle and pushes the boundaries of the 1st session, on a terroir of Muscat.
Then it's time for Christine to take the reins, helped his brother Luke. Everyone is seduced by a new terroir of Saint Chinian, which enriches the nuances of the range.
As a happy coincidence, the historical coat of arms of Clos Bagatelle is a woman ... in armor. Happy prediction for a history of adventurous women.
Luke and Christine share a lot, and even more since their 20 years of jokes to the ambition to do better, always better. The roles led Luke to drive the vineyard, Christine to market the wines of Clos Bagatelle. The winery is their gathering place, where Christine loves to challenge her brother falls course!
Without interfering in this fraternal relationship, Francoise, wife of Luke, effectively organizes the life of Clos Bagatelle and manages wines traveling around the world.
